Behemoth needs some major tuning
Are we supposed to save Eden's zap for the behemoth?

Yes and no, using the special ability against the Behemoth doesn't actually help you defeat it, it just gets you a special item after the battle. I found this battle annoying because it appears to suggest using the ability when the worms are out, so you do, but then it instructs you do use it when fighting the behemoth.

Since I had used it the first time it was suggested I didn't have it available later against the behemoth so restarted the battle, only to then find that it really didn't help to have the skill available anyway (expect for receiving the item). The story for the level needs to be changed to reflect when your meant to use the power (for getting the item) so that you don't use the skill to early.

I didn't know we got an item by using Eden's special ability against the Behemoth... Is the item very good? Can you give me a spoiler ? :D Spoiler please!

My understanding is its the sword called the Dragon's Dance, gives the Levin Smash ability which seems pretty good.. I haven't tried without using the special ability to confirm that you don't just get it anyway.

This fight was much harder when the beast would heal 100(!) hit points but, even after nerfed with a 50 point heal, it is still challenging if you do not have the right weapon types (spear/axe/sword/arrow) or your spellcasters have few damaging spells remaining.

you get the sword either way later in camp from francisco i think and the behemoth is easy stock up everyone with medium potions and when you attack with mages check and see which defensive buff it has on because behemoth has 2 and when its the magic counter your mages are basically 1 shot if not full health. Beat it on hard with 10 turns left

Yeah im going to be the advocator bad news here and say the following.

* its almost impossible for your characters to die if you know what youre doing.

Is it still a bad fight for new players? Absolutely. But that doesnt mean the fight itself is to hard. Its that its mechanic are terribly explained to new players.

He has 3 means of dealing damage to you.
* Straight up attacking you. Which very rarely kills a character from full health.
* The charged AoE attack. Which is easily dodgeable.
* The return damage based of the buff he has. Either close range or long range.

The trick to dodging his large AoE attack has to do with his sleep debuff. Characters hit by this have a big red marker practiclly screaming "I will fall asleep next turn" move these diagonally from him so he cant attack them. Apart from that its a MUST to enclose him from all sides so hes not allowed to move. That means having 4 character standing up close. If hes allowed to maneuver you're done for since dodging anything is meaningless if he can switch positions.

This way makes this fight a dps race if anything. One that should be reasonably doable in the 10+ turns you get. Just remember to bring alot of different weapons. (He tends to not have many magic weaknesses from my experience so bring less of those.)

Must say I didnt really have any issues with it even pre-nerf. Your charachters hitting his weaknesses will do 30+ damage so easy 180 a turn and he will only heal about every three or four turns.

Yea so I posted it 1 week ago when I just started and didnt know what was going on. I surrounded and rotated so men had easy access to its weaknesses, to do this, archers are your friend.

I think the biggest issue is you have all the information needed to make the fight fairly simple if you inspect him and look at his abilities and buffs, but many people probably forget about the ability to do this since its so unnecessary most of the time. You can actually look at the talents, skills, and spells on any enemy, but this is probably the first fight that it is really meaningful to do so (barring maybe checking spellcaster spell lists on the hard difficulty). This results in people getting blindsided by fights that have more specific mechanics involved.

The fight is likely pretty close to well balanced, but they might want to have a reminder tutorial about inspecting abilities for this fight so people don't get surprised. This is probably affecting people on lower difficulties more so since they are used to a more casual experience breezing through most combat so this ends up being a particularly jarring experience for them.
