Where is Johanna in the ending? She doesn't appared (rapport Max, romanced)

Hi everyone.
I'm trying to see the different ends for every character (maxing the rapports), and I'm quite surprise. Johanna is never mentioned! First she wasn't mentionned in my first end (bad end, rapport max with her). Then I've done the good end with Andrea (no problem), but when I'm trying with Johanna, there's nothing??? O.O
I've max her rapport, gave her the memto box, absolve her about you know what... Why isn't she mentionned nor have a cutscene like everyone else?
Is this a bug? I know that in the first version of the game, you could banished her (I don't understand why you can't anymore, even if I'll never do that), but still, she could stay too, so what is this?

Hello.
I will try to explain everything with clarity:
I've done and re-done the end a certain number of times, to try to understand what triggers the good/bad ending and to romance different people. (Because I know there's a choice chapter 19 between Andrea and Sera, and in my NG+ game I wanted to go full blue choices and try Sera, so I really wanted to see all the outcome with Andrea on that first game).

First game: Got the bad end (full red choices).
Choose Andrea as romance. Max her rapport + gave her the Memento Box.
From the 6 romanceable characters, maxed 3 people: Andrea (first maxed out and romanced), Johanna and Albrecht.
Got the cutscene + achievement with Andrea + little description for Andrea and Albrecht. BUT NOTHING for Johanna (even as “friend” maxed out).


Second game: (just reload last battle, and did the 2 last “blue choices”).
Got the bad end (4 red, 2 blue choices).
Choose Johanna as romance. Max her rapport + gave her the Memento Box.
From the 6 romanceable characters, maxed 3 people: the same as before, Andrea, Johanna and Albrecht.
Got the cutscene + achievement with Johanna BUT NO description for her (but got one for Andrea and Albrecht, as “friend” (bad end version)).


* Third game: (reload at chapter 26).
Got the bad end (3 read choices, 3 blue choices).
Choose Andrea as romance. Max her rapport + gave her the Memento Box.
From the 6 romanceable characters: maxed 3 people: the same as before, Andrea, Johanna and Albrecht, but this time, Albrecht was the first to be maxed out.
Got the cutscene + achievement with ALBRECHT (WHY? I romanced Andrea). Didn’t look the description at the end so don’t know if the little descriptions were right or not.
So there was a bug here with the memento box.


Fourth game: (reload at chapter 25).
Got the good end (2 read choices, 4 blue choices).
Choose Andrea as romance. Max her rapport + gave her the Memento Box.
Maxed ONLY Andrea, nobody else on the 6 romanceable characters.
Got the cutscene with Andrea. Got the little description with the romance choice at the end. BUT I had Albrecht, Marchelle + Klara description too (as friends), despite the fact that I didn’t maxed them out.


Fifth game: (keep the same save, just reload just before the last battle).
Got the good end (2 read choices, 4 blue choices).
Choose Johanna as romance. Max her rapport + gave her the Memento Box.
Maxed ONLY Johanna, nobody else on the 6 romanceable characters.
Got NO CUTSCENE. So I quitted the game and didn’t try to do the last fight. Reported the bug.


Sixth game: (same save as the fifth game).
Got the good end (2 read choices, 4 blue choices).
Choose Klara as romance. Max her rapport + gave her the Memento Box.
Maxed ONLY Klara, nobody else on the 6 romanceable characters.
Got the cutscene with Klara + achievement + little description with the romance choice at the end.
BUT I also got descriptions (friendly ones) for Marchelle, Albrecht AND Sera (for the first time) who I NEVER maxed out in any of my games.


Seventh game: (same save as the sixth game).
Retry with Johanna. Got the cutscene and the description (romance) this time.
AGAIN got Albrecht, Marchelle and Klara description as friends too, despite the fact that I didn't maxed them out. But not Sera nor Andrea.

Didn’t changed anything from my fifth game, except the order of my choices of dialogue at camp, and didn’t spam the skip touch as in my fifth game. I took the time to be sure that the game processed what happened.


So I don’t know, but maybe there a problem with the memento box? I read that there was problem with it even before the new game + update so… maybe?

That’s all I can say on my part for now. Do you still need my saves and other data? I’m quite not familiar with all this manipulation but I can try to do it, if you let me the time.

Oh and last edit:
Eight game: try to romance Kalara with Johanna and Sera maxed out too, don't know why, but it was Johanna cutscene that started! So again, I quited the game and retry it but only with Sera and Klara maxed out, and this time, Kalara was well romanced. So there's definitly a problem with the memento Box i think.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! We see that the key concern here is how the Memento Box works. Sorry, I mistook it as a bug of not being able to trigger Johanna's ending at all.

As you mentioned in your experiences, there indeed are multiple elements that are factored in for the romance endings, especially with those involving special decisions. The Memento Box, while having a role in it, does not guarantee a specific character's ending.

We will check again internally and let you know if we need the save files from you.

Well, first I thought it was that too! That's why I reported it. Don't know why the cutscene didn't triggered on that one specifically, but seems it didn't happened again after that one.
