well i rather have generic looking chars that look like human beings instead of freaks of nature, more often than not we see in triple A games because decent looking humans can be offensive.
The fact that you also cannot customize your MC ultimately means that this game isn't for me, but i wish the devs well, we need more FE-like games.
that's because you're not really playing as the MC. It basically works like FE or XCOM 2 where you are basically the commander, not a battlefield unit/soldier
i think you should play MMO since you can customize your characters there. this isent a MMO but a single player game.
one of the most succesfull single player games up to this day, you cannot customize your character iether . ever heard of the Witcher 3? a fixed male character , and he is not very handsome.
Even a simple name change would help with this.
I'll keep it on my wishlist for now and see if the Devs add something along these lines. The game looks great btw!

The Witcher comparison really doesn't fly as you control one single character and not a party of soldiers. These types of games really need customisation, like Battle Brothers and Wartales have. Nothing to do with single player games not having customisation as those are also single player games, and way more similar to Lost Eidolons.
but keep in mind that most of this recruits are set in stone type of characters with their own stories. not just random recruits you know nothing about .alas xcom.
but you should be able to customize armor and weapons, i wish we could
Ever heard of skyrim, fallout 4, dragon age inquisition, pokemon, divinity, etc? they all are not an MMO but still have character customization.
ofcourse i have. it would have been nice if you could customize your char, i would have loved it, but is not a biggie if you cant.
There are literally hundreds if not thousands of amazing single player games that offer extensive character customization.
