Character/Soldier Customization

I was curious if there's any sort of customization (similar to Xcom) where we can update our character's hair, skin color, etc?

And does your look change based on new armor/clothing?

Thinking of giving this a try over the weekend. And none of this will determine if I buy or not... I was just curious.

It is much more story based game than xcom, customisation of main characters is out of question. But dont worry, it makes story sooo memorable. I felt final fantasy vibes.

Customizing the actual look of my characters isn't super important (just something I enjoy), but I do love when you can change up your look by wearing different armor/clothing. Not a big deal. I'll still likely give this a try. Attempting to find a new game to play this weekend.

The armour/clothing changes depending on the classes you pick for the characters. And let me tell you some armour designs are just really amazing, specially for later classes. LOVE the battle mage, for example.
