Only "[URGENT]" Prestige quests require you to complete them before advancing the chapter. Was the quest urgent?
It was indeed urgent yeah :(
Oh! I do believe I know the one you're talking about. I actually did the optional battle before I triggered the prestige quest, so I was pretty much sunk. Darn it. Hahah.
I genuinely can't remember now if I maybe did it before but as far as I can remember I can from story mission then did my rounds around the camp because I like to do the optional mission before leaving camp.
I already missed all first 3 prestige quests because I had no idea how to turn them in at the time and assumed they completed when you left camp.
Also missed the one where you have to train with Francisco. It's annoying you can choose multiple characters to build rapport but only have so much points to do it each intermission then you are forced to do it with one or more characters for prestige quests :(
I definitely spoke to everyone again in case there is something I missed to trigger it and nothing has popped up. Not sure if the trigger is connected to something from a previous chapter that I missed :(
Yeah i agree I don't know why they had to put something like this in. The worst part is they aren't marked on the map so you have to run around aimlessly, sometimes even in the dark.
Brings the game down a notch for sure
I do believe that only applies to the "find this document"-type quests. Personally I don't mind them, since I do appreciate not having markers when the whole point is to look around and try to find them.
Admittedly it becomes annoying when you're supposed to look near, say, Robin's tent, but you have no idea which tent that is because you've never seen Robin in a tent up until that point.
No doubt too late to help OP here but in case anyone else is wondering, I found it; talking to Francisco unlocked the Optional Battle.
