You can stay awake until 5:59 AM every day and sleep (you'll wake up at 6:00 AM regardless) for absolutely no penalty whatsoever... and if you do stay up all night, you only need to rest at the spa to cure the Fatigue status or munch on a Toyherb to cure it, otherwise there are some accessories that negate and prevent fatigue as well as being able to upgrade any piece of armor to have 100% fatigue resistance (though being to do this last bit is probably quite a ways into the game).
Why would you want days to be even longer than this? Crops rely on days to pass to grow and there's only so much you can do in a single day cycle regardless.
But to answer your question, there is no actual way to make days longer, no. Hope this helps.
I was hoping there would be some sort of option or failing that, a mod to change it in this edition but I guess not.
