She's also extremely narcissistic, arrogant and bossy. The good looks just ain't worth it.
Raven, Lin Fa and Nancy however.... absolutely should be marriageable. As should Bado, Volkanon and Porcoline. Shame the way it is but hey, maybe some talented modder will fix it some day. Don't hold your breath on a patch from the devs.
While there might not be much in the way of new content over the 3DS version, there are some very significant quality of life additions that are most welcome to the PC version (and Switch version).
I did not really notice any QoL improvements. We still have to manually load building material and logs into the stack unit. Super slow if your trying to buy bulk from Arthur's rando shop. RF5 has the much desired function of being able to place everything with a few taps.
Lin Fa, her daughter never ages. And is already as developed as she is going to be.
You never see the guy unless you do the daughters quest. He is literally a sliver of script in the game. Always out trying to peddle bathtub buckets. It really does not seem like a booming business compared to my pineapple/juice farm.
See that's the thing, Illuminata did not regret slapping her even slightly - and she would do it all over again. She slapped her after Amber apologized and explained what she was doing, which was planting a flower for crying out loud. Pure, innocent intentions. How does Illuminata handle the apology? By smacking her and completely ignoring what she's saying. She simply cannot redeem herself after that display.
She constantly ignores the protagonist and other villagers to inject her own arrogance. Quite a nasty personality really XD
I still do not see what Lumie did as anything heinous. Amber is a freeloader using materials that support their livelihood upon vandalism of the resident registry.
When I was younger, had a lot of the neighborhood kids hanging out with me. My sister decided she wanted to insert herself into the conversation by bringing up the porn I had stashed away under my bed. Before I could even process what had just happened, my hand had flew across her face as she finished her sentence and she slid across the floor. Did we apologize to each other? No. We accepted it as an even exchange. And I do not think many people would feel bad if they where in my shoes.
Amber is most definitely not a freeloader - she works very hard almost every single day at the Flower Shop and if she's not allowed to take a single flower seed and plant it to beautify the town without getting physically abused, then that should've been mentioned as being forbidden beforehand. Amber would've happily asked or paid for it if she'd known as she's not a malicious person.
Illuminata is clearly the caretaker of the two, so she should be teaching these things without abuse unless it's growing to be a continuous problem or repeat offenses. There's a line between discipline for intentional bad behavior and innocent ignorance of someone that is willing to explain, atone and apologize for their mistake. That line was crossed by a mile in this case. Amber didn't deserve such treatment, nor do all the other townspeople that Illuminata repeatedly ignores to drive her own detective wannabe agenda.
Blurting your embarrassing secrets is slightly different than planting a flower seed.
The shop makes millions from the protag alone and has unlimited seeds.
Besides, by your own logic you seem to see it as a crime committed. That's dealt with via justice, not assault or battery.
A so-called detective resorting to violence instead of executing the law just works even further against her.
And they do not live in a modern era. So cannot really hold them up to high moral standards. I also do really see any current judge's just letting the case go after determining its not a recurring thing (Unless you always trigger the event after starting a new game.) that would categorize it. Its still legal in most states to beat your spouse on the steps of city hall with a stick no wider then the girth of your index finger.
I can't deny Jones being a robber, but I don't think we're otherwise going to understand each other on this one.
All I can say is I'm glad the developers scrapped Illuminata for Amber as a candidate in the end.
This conversation has taken a turn to using the legality of spouse beating as an argument point so that's where I'm outtie!
Seriously? Just a single slap is an abuse now!? Wow, how weak the current generation is now. Looking at the mental state of people like you, looks like somewhere near the future, even just punishing a kid by taking his phone would be called as an abuse.
Plus, that event is not a small thing. Because of Amber did, that make Illuminata think that a thief (a dangerous person) exist in the village. It make her worried about it.
...and stealing something is theft. Killing someone is murder. What's your point?
There's no need for personal attacks my friend. Relax, it's okay.
Perfectly justified reason to strike someone that just apologized and expressed remorse for causing a problem unintentionally while trying to do something with pure intentions. /s
Nothing really demonizes Illuminata, unless Amber was a newborn infant. Apologies do not grant clemency from punishment. Being from a large family, the difference of those disciplined and undisciplined is very clear now that most are adults. And their is even one that always got off with an apology and does not know why its not working on others, they have social anxiety to what feels to be extreme. Does discipline always have to happen? Not always depending on environment. But throughout the history of mankind, it has always generally brought out good results. A slap to the face is not excessive. Now when I get them, I can joking ask may I have another.
Dating Amber feels criminal, since she never mentally developed beyond 12 years old.
