(Granted, certain items can only be found in certain seasons, so in some rare cases, you might have to wait until that season comes back around. But that's very rare)
Allegedly, there's even a special rare dialogue if you get married and have a kid before entering the first dungeon
(Which is seriously insane. As you'll likely enter that dungeon within the first day or two in a typical playthrough)
So, no, you can take your time in the game.
2) You likely won't miss anything they have to say, as far as I know.
3) Nothing's is permanently lost, so no.
But a guide might save you some headache when trying to get certain things, or certain tips the game never mentions.
But it's not required.
(For instance, I only learned yesterday you can combine the magnifying glass onto farm tools, so you no longer have to keep switching between the tool and the glass.
Wish I'd known that months ago.)
So, if you want to never miss dialogue, they *do* change their dialogue based on current goings-on in the game. That is to say, if you care about reading every single bit of dialogue you'll have to go talk to them all during whatever is going on to see said dialogue. You don't ever miss anything, but some NPCs are required to talk to to progress certain things if I recall, and they do give gifts and stuff, so it never hurts to talk to them. There's a quest for getting everyone to certain friendship levels so a daily talk helps.
You can actually gift away "important" items, and the game will give them back to you. so even if you *try*, you can't lose anything you can't get back one way or another, unless it was meant to be taken from you by the game.
Also in regards to Funewchie above me, The game actually mentions the magnifying glass+crops thing. I forget whom, but one of the NPCs 100% mentions it.
And now I'm dying to read this...
2. You don't have to talk to everyone everyday, but that means you might miss out on triggering town events. Though if you don't care about marriage then this isn't too important.
3. A guide isn't necessary. Eliza's quests teach you all the gameplay basics. It does help to prevent all those 'I wish I had known (fill in the blank)' moments. The biggest one for me I think was that you can buy items in bulk from Raven if you've shipped at least one of them.
That's the rumor I've heard.
I've never tried it myself, but it sounds about right.
Apparently the devs took a lot of things into account, including overachiever fans.
Yeah you are very limited in who you can marry though. There's several marriage candidates that don't even join the town until you clear certain dungeons and of the ones the town starts with several have events you need to clear that need them to be able to talk to those additional characters that join later. So you'd have less than half the usual marriage options. But yeah some candidates are just easier to marry than others so if you are willing to make that sacrifice...
Has anyone anything to proof this isn't just a rumor?
I'm planning on doing 2 playthroughs (girl & boy) to get all extra event (since you can just save separately anyways, plus, back up save if you really need more save slots).
Anyways, ideea being: I want proof this is for real before I start my second playthrough (as boy) and waste hours for nothing
I don't have images but I can say that it absolutely is true! Source? I did it myself.
I was doubtful it was true as well, since I couldn't find screenshots. Your kid definitely has dialogue for the first dungeon.
Do be warned, there isn't a great deal of extra dialogue. It's only worth it if the idea of rare dialogue is exciting, since the actual dialogue itself is fairly minimal. You have to take your child with you through the forest in order to see the dialogue.
In summary, without spoiling the actual dialogue Your child will comment on what's going on in the first dungeon, just like any character might do when you take them on the main story quest. It's not really a special rare easter egg, so much as the fact that it's strange the child has dialogue for the dungeon at all, since it can be completed basically on day 1 or 2 of the game if wanted.
It's only possible I believe with a few marriage candidates (I did it with Arthur) and it's much easier as a girl (or if you are marrying Xiao Pai) since you don't need a ring or double bed as a girl.
There are two versions of this run. 1) Marrying before leaving the town - this one is very reliant on RNG, if you get a town event that requires you leave town then your entire run fails. Also I believe this can only be done with one character, and I'm not sure which one.
2) Marrying before the dungeon - can be done with almost any character that is at the town from the start, but can be really difficult to do with any of the girls aside from Xiao Pai.
I'm not even sure how this is done when marrying a girl other than Xiao Pai, since when I did the run I wasn't able to get a bed or engagement ring at all - the materials or furniture shop unlocks just weren't available to me. You would likely have to get the ring materials through RNG chest opening or something? I don't even know about the bed. I can only confirm it's possible to do with a bachelor.
That exactly what the guy did in his video, he didn't leave the town at all (Forte introduction video played when he (Playing as Fray) left the twon with his(her?) child)
Thank you for the video :)) that guy is hilarious :)) and I never Knew Turnip Seeds are a neutral gift for everyone =)) (as you can give daily 3 gift as long it's one of each neutral, like and Love)
That's awesome, I did leave the town to see her introduction and to get some medicinal herbs but I haven't entered the first dungeon at all. I have already done the 'don't fall for it Vishnal' event, so hopefully a marriage won't be too far off.
It was so hilarious the guys comment regarding Vishnal=))
Random tip I just learned: when you want to collect multiple SAME items of floor, press and HOLD the [button for collecting as it can be changed] and just move around to pick them all up automatically (max 9)
