The game honestly reads as incomplete to me - talks of seven "Duncan's Elites" but there's only 3 bosses, card roster is pretty shallow even accounting for follow-up ones, there's a damaged building at the base that very much looks like it's meant to be rebuilt and that... just... isn't there, an occasional "castle" tile with non-functioning swinging axes and no rooftop access, despite spawning things there, there's a picture in store description with a gun that's literally not in the game right now...
It all strikes of launching prematurely and hoping for the sales to pick up. And considering this is VR space, I don't know if it paid off.
So I'd see a content update as a happy surprise at this point, and not be on dev's back about filling out some checklist they may not even have themselves. Just hit "Follow" on the game's store page, or subscribe to the discussion board for direct notifications. Then, should the update happen, you'll see it somewhere in your Steam client.
Maybe an occasional "sitrep" post? Just to know that something IS going on. But again, there might not be... and I'm okay with that.
Agreed with your statement.
Yeah I had some complaint myself about the Castle rooftop have no access while having a treasure chest teasing you to get up but you can't. While some certain hidden cave with cage and a lot of gold in it is a trap as it a "One way in than out" causing me to restart the game. I did once get on top but is RNG, base on how the room generated the structure for some building to be close to the Castle rooftop. Pretty much disappointed as is unfinished on the rooftop.
I feel bad that this game got potential but left in silent. Really hope they actually working on more update or a major one. We can't tell but hope for the best for now.
It was a PSVR2 launch game, so maybe they were counting on that selling much better than it did and now the reality is that the player base isn't big enough to support additional development 🤷♂️
re: mag release and bolt slide, in the settings -> xr -> 'Trigger Button Grab Bolt' you can enable to use trigger to grab the bolt instead of grab.
I'm in need of more maps now. More cards would be nice too. Kept getting offered the same ones. Do they stack?
Multiplayer would be good but enemies would have to scale or it'll be too easy. Even could just be a simple increasingly difficult horde mode on one map.
It has a lot of potential but yeah bought it on sale so can't complain especially because it has mixed reality.
There's already a random new locale for the fifth segment of the run, but also certain mechanics and enemies unlock over time, so you won't see them on your first run. Definitely not hard to win the game on first level, and that's okay - big leaps in progression come from increasing the difficulty, it'll get you to new classes faster as well.
And yeah, cards do stack, most great damage-dealing cards are worth piling at least 4 of on top of one another. Certain cards also unlock follow-up ones, specific upgrade cards which affect that one ability and won't appear without you already having it.
