Launches in desktop mode only

I haven't been able to get the game to launch properly on my Index. It just boots directly into desktop mode. Has anyone else had this issue?

I'm having this issue, and nothing I've tried has fixed it. It boots up on desktop, showing a screen that is stuck on floor level and the headset shows nothing.

Same issue. Refunding until fixed.

I had a similar issue with my Oculus when I first installed the game. For me, re-installing Steam VR fixed the issue. Slightly different situations but perhaps worth trying.
