Progression Question (DLC3 - Spoiler Alert)

I'm seemingly stuck at the very end - finished seeding the critical systems, was told by Peake that we'll need the flotilla to be ready before proceeding with the plan (fair), helped in finishing the prep for all three flotilla groups, which cleared out the list of drives... and nothing triggered after that. I'm pretty sure I've checked everywhere for updates, but couldn't find one. Based on the story, Peake should be somewhere near the gap, but I'm unable to find them. This is day 7 on the countdown. The countdown doesn't provide any new info either.
Am I missing something obvious?

btw I'm totally staying with my entity friends. I was trying to check on them the moment the flux happened, and was so frustrated that the option wasn't provided

If you've really completed EVERY task (prepared all the ships, prepared the station and connected the Gardener to the rest of the station), then you just have to wait. The storyline should pick up a few days before the story timer is done.

If you're feeling really paranoid - you can find the game save folder and back it up just in case.

Thanks for the tips! The story proceeded a day after everything was done, I guess it was a timed event, and that was probably what they meant with "it would be too late if the prep was done the day before the second flux hit".
