What type of game is this?

still not a clue what type of game this is, yea i know on a space station i figure that out
is it a living simulation? or rogue card game? what is it.

Two parts:

1. a board game-inspired overworld where you have to manage resources like your health, hunger and a set of dice you roll every turn. You need dice to do things, and higher numbers are typically better.
   
2. visual novel/dialogue bits, where you talk to characters and make some (largely superficial, afaict) choices.

It's literally a Powered by the Apocalypse Engine Roleplaying game.

Have you ever played This War of Mine? Its kind of like that, but more story heavy, significantly more forgiving, you are only having to look after your own health, and stuff is done in terms of a number of fixed actions per day (called a cycle), and the success of those actions are determined by dice rolls which are affected by your stats. For the most part though the gameplay aspect is pretty simple and its mainly a (pretty good) narrative driven game, but which is pretty short at around 6-8 hours depending on how likely you are to restart when you make mistakes.
