and other liquids. Why did you make it a guessing game?
OIL IS IMPORTANT !!
Dumping oil all over the engine just to find the exact spot it will accept it is NOT ACCEPTABLE !
ADD some funnels to buy ! That WORK !

You just need practice
if you see "Filling", it's working, if it starts to flash, the tank is full

Put the oil bottle just above the spot on the engine and slowly scroll the mouse wheel until the oil starts pouring, if the 'filling' icon doesn't appear, just scroll the wheel back a little and move the mouse slightly until you find a good spot to pour the oil correctly. I recommend have all the oil bottles aside in a place that doesn't require you to move your position that allows you to just reach the other bottles by just moving the mouse view. In my exp, i just put the bottles on the ground next to the engine bay and lean in to a position that i can fill the engine and just move the mouse to pick the next bottle. 2 oil bottles are enough to fill the 4 cilinder engine, and 3 to fill both 6 cilinder and the V8.

For the oil you only need 1 for the 4 cyl and 2 for 6 and 8. You want the oil between the two dark lines not filled up to the brim. Filling your oil to the brim in a car or truck will increase oil pressure and cause cavitation (air bubbles in the oil) which would greatly reduce the efficiency of your oil pump, adding premature wear to parts that are normally lubricated by the oil delivery system. It can also destroy the catalytic converter. I understand it's a game but I like to keep it as real as possible and there's a reason the dipstick in the game looks like the one in your car/truck. Same as the brake fluid reservoir. It has the lines on it so you want it between the two lines. it'll save you a few bucks in game also :steamhappy:

thats good to know, i always left it in the middle as thats what real life needs, but i dint know they did that for the game too, see, i like details like this, where it mimics real life stuff

And I come back to see if anything is different... nope.
poured oil all over the fill spot, never once said"Filling".
(All over the engine too)

The filling mechanic is finicky. Oil works consistently better if I stand at the front of the vehicle instead of the side. For the brakes, I just take the cylinder off and set it on a table. In the vehicle I can't gt it to work at all. The catch-zones for the holes need to be larger.
