I think I'm glitched on the Chapter 5 boss battle. Every time I try to push the reflector I bounce straight back off it and can't push it. I've looked up guides and YouTube videos to see if I need to get the timing right and have copied the videos and I still bounce off. Any ideas?
EDIT - I reset my PS5 and reloaded the game, it seems to be working now.
In case anyone is wondering, I found a fix through another recent game's discussion area where I encountered issues again. I had to go into "Steam" -> "Controller" -> "General Controller Settings". I ensured that only the "Xbox Configuration Support" and the "Xbox Extended Feature Support" options were checked (which I turned off a long time ago due to past issues). It force a restart of my PC, but when it came back, I went into the The Chant's properties and set the controller settings to use the default settings. I started up the game and it fixed the issue. Again, this was specifically for the Logitech f310 controller.
My processor is an Intel core i5 and my graphics card is Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 Ti. I'm up to date on my software as far as I know.
Sorry this is happening and thank you for providing the info. I will ask our tech director to look into the issue. Can you tell me where exactly the game is crashing? Also, are you running on an SSD hard drive or HDD platter drive?
Thanks
I appreciate you getting back with me and you're welcome! Despite the issues, I love the premise to the game.
So far, the game crashes at the beginning of the cut scenes. It'll start to stutter with the audio when it's trying to transition to the cut scene and then it shows the cut scene for a split second and crash. Sometimes when coming from a loading screen into a cut scene it will do the same thing. The hard drive for my laptop is an SSD and if it helps it's an Acer Nitro 5 laptop.
We have a patch in testing that has a variety of gameplay and feedback improvements for Angie. Hopefully this will resolve your frustrations. Our goal is to make her a threat, but not at the expense of hurting exploration or key encounters.
Thanks so much for the information.. Our tech director will be looking into this and hopefully we can get a fix in soon. If you don’t mind we may have some further questions to help narrow it down.
You're welcome and sounds good. Also, I played it for a few mins just now and so far haven't had any crashes but it stutters a little bit here and there -- not as much though and it's pretty smooth. I do know my graphics card did update twice in the past couple weeks,
It also affects the projector videos. There's sound but no video
