Does the dog die? (SPOILERS)

I recently had a dog pass and I don't want to play this if the dog dies. Anyone who's played the flatscreen version could tell me yes/no?

I'm in chapter 12 out of 17, dog is still fine. I would be surprised if it died, you're quite connected to it. Devs said how you treat the dog will affect the gameplay, maybe there are different endings...

I just think the premise, horror game with dog companion, probably maybe ends this way? I have no idea.

I doubt it, if you aren't around a dog there is a game over as your character has some trauma from his cop days.

Its a really good game, but that part really bummed me out.

I will say that this game has already been condemned by P.E.T.S.M.A.R.T. (People for Ethical Treatment of Simulated Mammals, Amphibians, Rodents, eTc.)

If this is a port from the normal PC game then its Mutli ending and can be both

I personally decided to kill the dog for sustenance. He was barking too much for my liking anyways. JK. LOL.

"Yes" and "You have to choose" are two extremely different answers. Can you beat the game without the dog dying or not?
