1. You will have the option of playing maps around 1 star or multiple stars. We haven't released any multi-star maps yet.
2. No, the star systems are not smaller.
3. Yes there will be multiple star systems. The distance will vary by map.
4. Yes, the phase lanes between star systems will change based on orbits.
5. Star positions will likely not change for the Steam launch but we haven't ruled it out for the future.
My first impression is that this seems more like a Sins 1.5 instead of 2. Or just a nice mod?
I hope I'm proven wrong as more news is released about the game.
Hi Cryane, which of the key differences in the blog above do you feel are not different enough from Rebellion? (besides your comment on the visuals). Feedback would be great so in the next blog we can clarify our descriptions, focus on something different, or perhaps even improve the game itself.
I wish I knew what my actual time played was for Sins 1, but all my time played data disappeared around 10 years ago. I know I had over 3k hours in Dawn of Discovery: Venice before that happened, and I know I had over 800 hours in Sins 1 at the time. I know I put at least a few hundred more hours into Sins 1 after that.
Looking forward to putting a few thousand hours into Sins 2!!!
