Go to store page, scroll down click the tab to expand for the premium edition info.

The Premium edition is the same base game with a pre-order for the planned DLC over the next year or so. Presumably the DLC in the Premium pack is slightly discounted from what it will be when they are released individually, but if you don't want to pre-order you won't be missing out on anything right now.

Functionally you are pre-purchasing the next year or so of DLC.
Unit pack, campaign, 4th faction, scenario pack.

Which is crazy that it is not out yet considering the game has been launched since 10/27/2022 on Epic Store and still not done any of that.

Why would one start DLC development during a beta testing period?

My page was loading correctly I couldn't see the details.
I decided to just buy the base game for now.
Thanks for the clarification. I wont the Premium but as it was pointed out earlier, game is still in Beta. Doesn't makes sense to have that but what do I know.

Well maybe part of that time was "early access", the 1.0 released in 2023. This is from the horses mouth...

"Sins of a Solar Empire 2 has been on the Epic Games Store since an October 2022 early access launch, but which publisher Stardock says is now more like an ongoing service game after a 2023 version 1.0 release. I'm not sure what the difference is, at times, but since it has "the same or more content as the original release of Sins of a Solar Empire 1.0" according to Stardock I think they can probably call it finished and onto post-launch updates if they want to."-PCGamer Article

So okay not a full 2 years, but some solid time since 1.0 release. So that whole time never offered it, even on epic till 8/15/2024. Now still to be another year of trickled content. Whatever, just my opinion and everyone has their own view. Loved the first series owned it off steam and Rebellion on steam. I will wait for it to finish up and get on a better sale with all the content live.

Epic has always been a testing zone, games dont truly release until after the exclusivity expires.

The release was only last week and everyone knows it.

Well I feel indifferent of that, but to each their own.

Seem to be posting this in a lot of threads now. Here's the details as I've seen them:

Digital Soundtrack – contains nearly 2 hours of high-quality audio from the game. Coming September 2024.

‘Paths to Power’ Scenario Pack – Custom scenarios with unique starting and victory conditions. Release planned for Q4 2024.

‘Reinforcements’ Ship Pack – Adds 2 new ships per race. Release planned for Spring 2025.

‘Times of War’ Campaign Expansion – A single-player, story-driven campaign that relates the tragic story of the TEC, Vasari and Advent. Release planned for Fall 2025.

‘Harbinger’ Expansion – Discover and play as the mysterious fourth faction! Release date TBD.

So if you buy the Premium Edition, you've got over a year to wait before you get everything you've paid for.

That wasn't a "Launch", though, that was Early Access.
You make it sound like the game had been in the current state since 2022.
It hasn't. When Sins 2 "Launched" on Epic in 2022, you only had TEC, you had even less options than now, no multiplayer AFAIK, and all the voice lines and music were still exactly the old one because the voice lines hadnt been recorded and the music hadnt been composed yet.

I don't know why you use that as an argument.

This is either old or incorrect information, the game was on epic for some time, however 1.0 was only released on the 15th August 2024, the dev team are extremely small for the scope of the game so certain things were never planned to be in 1.0 as we would have had to wait another year for the game.
