At least as of right now, I was not able to find out what it actually does outside of the video I watched, but even then I feel like I have no way of telling how exactly it affects things looking at stuff ingame, other than the fact that I know it affects, *something*.
I guess for now I'll just try increasing Psi power and see how that'll reflect on those stats.
It's the purple stat thing with abilities and modules for capitol ships but it does inform poorly in game you have no idea how much psipower a ship has and how much this translates into the abilities and modules.
Psipower isn't universal every ship has it's own.
So if you equip only a single item (like PSI plating), this vessel will only have improved armor. So the more items onboard for PSI, the better.
Viceversa, without any items, no use of PSI on stats.....
The abilities gained with experience oth, they are (sometimes heavily) influenced by PSI....
I haven't found any info yet on how PSI affects each skill as a formula, just the total change
All I know is that Psy power does "something".
hover over any tooltip of equipment or abilities a ship has. If it has purple numbers, that is how much the psi-power added to the listed effects. That's it.
No, it's not as transparent as it should. But the information EXISTS. For some abilities it's quite nice to have a lot of psy-power as it increases the AoE and the buffs granted. For others ... you can have as much psy-power as you want, you won't obtain a noticeable benefit (the coronata conversion ability barely gets a +1% conversion chance for stacking about 200+ psy-power on the ship).
