Question about Advent Psi
So watching the Advent explanation video, it explains how Psi power is used to enchance the ship stats, though nowhere in the game could I find a relation between Psi points and how exactly they actually affect ship stats.

Is there something I'm missing somewhere?

Yeee, I feel like for something as important as that, elaborating on what Psi actually does would be very helpful.

At least as of right now, I was not able to find out what it actually does outside of the video I watched, but even then I feel like I have no way of telling how exactly it affects things looking at stuff ingame, other than the fact that I know it affects, *something*.

It might be ralated that most abilites and items have individual scaling factors for psi, so its different for each thing that interacts with psi power.

It'd be nice to have some way of seeing ingame what things actually interact with Psi Power.

Its not related to the ships stats, its related to the ships abilities. When you hover your mouse over some of them, you will see the usual green number with a purple number next to it, the purple number is the additional bonus Psi provides

I see.
I guess for now I'll just try increasing Psi power and see how that'll reflect on those stats.

It's the purple stat thing with abilities and modules for capitol ships but it does inform poorly in game you have no idea how much psipower a ship has and how much this translates into the abilities and modules.

Since there's already a Unity screen in the UI, won't it be easier if the Psi level is also reflected there?

Psipower isn't universal every ship has it's own.

PSI, as far as I can see, ONLY works in combination with items bought and installed.
So if you equip only a single item (like PSI plating), this vessel will only have improved armor. So the more items onboard for PSI, the better.
Viceversa, without any items, no use of PSI on stats.....
The abilities gained with experience oth, they are (sometimes heavily) influenced by PSI....

There are some techs that add a base level of PSI to each ship
I haven't found any info yet on how PSI affects each skill as a formula, just the total change

I've asked this question once before and only got a vague description of "it enhances some of your abilities"...like what? How?

All I know is that Psy power does "something".

hover over any tooltip of equipment or abilities a ship has. If it has purple numbers, that is how much the psi-power added to the listed effects. That's it.

No, it's not as transparent as it should. But the information EXISTS. For some abilities it's quite nice to have a lot of psy-power as it increases the AoE and the buffs granted. For others ... you can have as much psy-power as you want, you won't obtain a noticeable benefit (the coronata conversion ability barely gets a +1% conversion chance for stacking about 200+ psy-power on the ship).
