Usage of market

I played a MP round today and we had an issue with the market... or rather the absence of the market. I couldn't sell/buy metal or crystals because we didn't "discover" one. Can somebody shed some light on this?

Each market is "run" by a minor faction on the map. There will always be a metal market minor and a crystal market minor, but there is not always an exotic market.

Once you have found that minor faction's home planet (via scout, remote view, whatever), you gain access to the market.

Hmm I have discovered every planet and the only minor faction listed are the pirates. Yet the game shows that I have not yet discovered the markets.

If you get the tech that unlocks influence, then you can use influence to “discover” any undiscovered factions in the minor faction interaction tab. It could be bad rng, and the other factions did not spawn, for some reason.

I found the issue. There was a wormhole and it lead to 4 seperate planets, one of them had the missing faction :).

It now allows me to purchase like the first game :).

Export slots are still 0/7 though, need to check that out I guess.
