There are a few modder channels on the offcial dscord to share knowledge tho.
Mods essentially are setup this way but the modder has done this for you behind the scenes.
Ye.. at least for me.. in the old days of sins1 I liked to create a lot a lot of planets with a lot of stars to play against bots. I had campaigns taking me a week to finish lol
Any chance to be an option to have all map discovered?
Thanks in advance
I'm kind of curious why your surprised given the editor that was present in the first sins of a solar empire. I pretty much only played my own generated maps in the first game so its an unpleasent surprise to find out an editor is not integrated into this from the start.
mmmm........... making maps is very important to me and been waiting for this for 2 years to get it on steam the only few things stopping me from going ahead and buying the game are content we know and love for out the years in rebellion like map editors and easy way to add mods as well so I need to ask.
Can i build maps like in sins 1 rebellion using the map editor making each star / planet / planet ground and all the extra details with sliders?.
If so i may consider buying it.
Bonus small question:
And if so could we rename the stars from the forge menu to see them automatically named within the world? as it will help with role playing in mods or your own custom made maps that fall under a universe that has yet been made into a mod yet and added in :)
Let's hope they will add the map editor soon enough
yeah i'm going hold off on it for awhile thanks for the info on that really thanks first impressions are everything i really do enjoy the ability to make custom maps right now i'm making each star with planets between 1-5 sometimes other stuff not planets.
So I can have like 50-100 stars to clutter the map to look semi real galaxy i guess best example would be the old game spore where all the planets or stars you can fly to and conquer and move on is my aim for my map :).
Exactly this. When I go to Sins 1 to fight bots for a couple days I use a map I created specifically for balanced team vs. team resources and distances, w/ chokepoints, etc. That's how I've always played with the exception of maybe 2 games before I found Galaxy Forge.
it may be a good idea to add a option for create random map for people like my self that not really in moding so much if it a feature ty
