Edit post mortem. It didn't take long but the larger sampling pool has already showed us we need to expose more options. So I will eat my hat and get to solving the problem as best we can.
The are lots of options you can find using CTRL-SHIFT-S but I know that won't cover all the cases we've collected from users over the last couple days. We are working on getting some of those exposed to the less hidden option screen and implementing as many of the ones we are missing as possible.
Edit: Thank you!
Hardware Diversity: The gaming community uses a wide range of hardware. Some players have powerful, high-end rigs, while others might be using older or less capable machines. Providing granular graphic settings ensures that everyone can optimise their experience based on their specific hardware.
Performance Optimisation: Even on high-end systems, detailed settings can allow users to fine-tune their experience, prioritising visual fidelity or smooth frame rates based on their preferences.
Accessibility: Some users may have specific visual needs or sensitivities. Options to adjust things like brightness, contrast, or colour saturation can make your game more accessible to a wider audience.
Future-Proofing: As technology evolves and new hardware becomes available, detailed settings ensure that your game remains playable and enjoyable on the latest machines.
Community Engagement: Providing robust options empowers players to customise their experience and share their optimal settings, fostering a sense of community and engagement around your game.
What if I want to change my resolution and options?
How arrogant.. You don't decide what gamers want... sjeez...
I fix it by changing desktop resolution to 1080p before the game starts. Its not unique to this game so its fine, but would still be nice to add it.
It's a pretty poor response from the developers. $30 (Not enough to buy the game) says they regret saying it the way they did..
yeah this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i cant take use of my technologys like 99% of any games to make use of technologys like RTX HDR which requires full screen of an application or it doesnt activate which w11 and 10 technically is.... like any game that uses borderless fullscreen mode alas, i need that manual activation sometimes. right now im messing with W11 AUTO HDR but its crapshoot also cos of these devs with limited display options which is the most bare mininum a game should have.
im actaully completely fine with it not having seperate graphic options to fine tune everything, we as gamers are spoiled sure. but its how its always been for pc games you know? that said its a space game, performance and their engine seems excellent hngg. game looks good. i have zero complaints on devs and wish on their ways and just want to enjoy the game instead for their vision
beside complaining about being a minority of using third party applications/technology that are in BETA or dont have proper supports, i use alot of different resolution and aspect ratios in my game for performance/higher fidelity reasons aswel with like nvidia DLSR upsampling and i just cant do that here without a headache of trying find workarounds cos it again doesnt have basic display options
i hope they look into some of it. espeiclly considering the price tag as a new player to the series its a bit demoralizing starting a game like this instead of looking at it like a statistic of whenever players need/use most of it or not, sometimes its not about that.
but honestly, if they dont i guess i wont care that much as i jump games alot to try new things, but if in the future an expansion releases and i check this game out again as i liked it in past and i dont see the devs caring for their game or made improvements in the areas that were my complaints back in time.. then yeah i'd be unlikely buy any expansion aswel.
they are going to lose money if they dont understand this, their AI models and statistics cant tell everything lol.
