Sins of a Solar Empire II

Sins of a Solar Empire II

Defend the homeworld never gets hard.
I am 12 hours in Waves seem to just be repeating.
Its not a question of being overrun its just a question of how long till I get bored.

What is your difficulty setting?
To be honest, some scenarios seem broken. In the "Capture starbases" one I can capture enemys' starbases, and it gets boring after I defeat my neighbor. "Culture domination" by Advent requires capturing all enemys' planets before winning. However I liked the "Siege an Advent empire from another star system" scenario, but I can't immagine how to beat it on impossible with Primacy instead of Enclave. And Vasari "Collect enough resourses" is pretty good too.

That last scenario is such a massive grind, even on nightmare., It's in part due to drone host spam (and how unreasonably tanky drone hosts are), but mostly due to the fact that the enemy has a max cap fleet built within the first ten minutes, and it just keeps it capped for the entire game.

I cleared it as primacy with Missile Barrage spam, but it took nearly seven hours because it's simply unsafe to try to beeline for the homeworld when every planet has a fully upgraded starbase and there's a titan on the prowl.

Pretty much. It looks like most, if not all, of the scenarios needed one or two balance passes to make them truly, well, playable.

Take the one where you have to capture/destroy X neutral starbases. 3 Systems, 2 players each, FFA start, you have to deal with most if not all of the starbases on the galaxy where everyone will converge. Issue is, you pretty much have no chance of getting an ally and after dealing with your neighboring player will be much better off finishing off the other two AIs that win their regional battles rather than go for the objective. If any of these starting conditions were changed going for the objective might be a better course of action rather than Homeworld Elimination.

Going back to play 1v7 nightmare comp in regular maps lol. That is certainly harder than this scenario, it's basically 1v3 nightmare after you finish setup.

In "Defend the homeworld" you can't, it's locked.
I found that scenario to be very difficult after the 1hr-mark. I had lots of enemy capital ships and titans that steamrolled me pretty easily.

Hello guys, thanks for all the feedback! Make sure to share more, once you check out other scenarios! :advent:
Just checked the "TEC:E vs 6 TEC:P". Just feels like a regular 1v6 on a randomly generated map. I was hoping for a map, specially made for sieges with rings of interconnected big planets, making it possible to repell 6 invading opponents at once. Maybe even with premade defences for me around theese planets.
Opposite experience for me. When titans and cap ship spams shows up at about 25 minutes I just turned off the scenario and haven't come back.

i am currently stuck on 48% on this culture domination, and i own all the worlds in solar system, any ideas?

Wait for fix. Anyway in my mind this should not be won by defeating everyone, the key should be cultural domination.

I was able to overwhelm the first one that showed up, but ended up dying to attrition. I realized too late that I didn't actually build the garrison facilities on the core worlds, and invested too much into the outer defense. :winter2019sadyul:
