Look at Horizon: Zero Dawn Remastered, They not only improved the graphics but they also improved the game play. Game play is important to and that is why I asked about the learning curve.
That being said, I would vote for Sins II. Multi-core just makes it smoother to play, which is definitely worth it given how similar they are. As somebody that played from the original (without expansions) Sins I had some growing pains that left it with some rough edges. I love it dearly and even miss some of the features, but Sins II seems to be shaping up to be a bit more planned and balanced (no guarantees of course).
Learning isn't hard in either, but you'll probably want to start out in easy and learn how the tech trees work, and get an impression of their unique features. It's not like Stellaris where you need to ingest the wiki to play it.
Then rebellion has still an edge, but Sins 2 is catching up.
In terms of myltiplayer a notable part of people moved from rebellion to Sins 2 so there I would give the edge to Sins 2.
If you have friends or acquaintances playing you might want to go for the version they are playing.
That would be my point as well - it's really nice how the more modern game keeps a better fps in huge battles.
Sins II also has improved gameplay details IMHO - it's really a fleshed out Sins I in almost all aspects.
Jip, it's pretty easy. Even the new mechanics can be learned "on the go" IMHO - without playing tutorials. Just do some matches against the AI and don't shy away from getting beaten a few times - you'll quickly get the upper hand
Care to elaborate the details here? I can load savegames just fine.
Really if its a bunch of youngsters commenting then they dont know the value of the first game. They just played cause of Sins 2 came out
Check the discussions, myself and some others have made topics concerning that and Im not going to reiterate all of that again if its already here in these discussions...
Well said! The game before this one is stable and has an insane amount of mods, its also an older game so it can run on pretty much anything these days, especially on an older system.
Sins 2 does perform really good on older systems too,
and one does run into less crashes and slow down late game.
