CPU intensive after update

Hi i just got an update for the game, then suddenly the game became CPU intensive and my tempt went high, anyone get the same situation?

Yeah, spiking temps at 82 degrees with 7 case fans and a 3 fanned watter cooler on a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor 4.20 GHz and Geforce RTX 4090 OC... and CPU is at 20% load. Makes the game unplayeble

yup using the 7800X3D too,, im hittng 81 degrees at 20% load,
GPU only at 41% load, is it because the update?

What version does it say you have (bottom right on main menu)? At what stage of the game does it get intensive? Main menu? Beginning of a match? Later into a match?

Also, had you previously changed any graphic settings? (they may have gotten reset by the update)

Version 2.8.10. Everything is fine including loading screen. (setup a new game) soon as I enter the game, temps spike immediatly. Zoomed in or out, doesn't matter. GPU is at 32% cap and cpu at 20%

Ok, we'll have the previous version available soon (mainly for players who want to continue their save games). Once that is up, try switching back to the previous version to see if the problem goes away or not. I'll post here when its up.

Ok awesome;
Just checked, switched all graphics on / off, nothing made a difference. Game runs smoothly, its just an unexplaineble temp spike. (CPU is still very responsive whilst multitasking)

1. Game version 28.10.0
2. In the Main menu cpu tempt normal, but once load into the map Tempt rising to 81-83 degrees, even when you pause the game, or oppening the ingame option menu.
3. Tried to reset the graphic settings, turning everyting off, doesnt make any change
4. CPU at 20% with 80-83 degree, GPU at 70ish% game run smoothly at 4K

My cooling is in order, i do not have any problems with it in other scenarios, i have never seen this CPU rising that high.

Any chance you can send me your log file from 28.10 after you shut down the game? You'll find it in C:\Users\Blair\AppData\Local\sins2\logs.

Previous version: No issues at all. Temp remains completely normal.

89C is throttling temp for the CPU you should never reach that temp, so indeed something is messed up!

I seen 89C other day running wukong at unlocked FPS on my 7800x3d and my 4090 was pushing 70C... locked it to 60 and temps are fine.

I had no overheating playing sins on release so ill test now with the latest patch and see what it does

Btw i run sins at 165 fps... so ill see what happens to my temps... brb lol
