Pirate raids and jikasun raid are just runing this game
Its the most disgusting tactic, your literally 5 system away fighting and then bam, you have a 500 fleet to deal with miles away. Just get rid of both of them, i don't understand why they are there at all.

Even if you have defense platforms, they don't do anything. They simply just go round the other side.

sure the are not stupid. all you need is a small fleet, focus the planet bombers first. With some defense it shouldnt be that hard and later on, a starbase with planetshield shows them who is the boss.

As TEC:P there is a research in T3 (i believe) that stops pirate raids against you. I tend to smash the Jiskun early, they are not that difficult of an opponent. As Advent you can use your unity ability to destroy their planet(s) from afar as long as your culture reaches there.

A starbase in each important planetary well with a planetary shield will stop them from destroying your planets.

I also thought I read somewhere that phase inhibitors prevent raids in planetary wells they are in... However I would do your own tests on that before taking it as fact. It may be that I mis-read or even just simply had a dream about reading it. idk.

Starbase are a late tech, along with phase inhibator and platary shield, you also need 15 warfare labs to get them. Whereas a jikasun raid can be had in the first 30mins

My preferred strategy is to just kill them.

must say i agree with this, also team play needs instant fast travel to teammate main base, too many game people just die before you have even get close

It just needs to scale over time (starting off weaker). Overall, I like it and think there's plenty one can do to deal with it, but I also hear the complaints about it being too powerful too early--it's a cheese strat, but probably a too potent one. I think these kinds of strategies have a place, but it shouldn't be quite so easy to pull off.

The rewards from influence auctions scale as the match goes on, so why not these raid/defense fleets, dig?

and dont forget, you can peace out with jikasun for 10 minutes with influence

No way. I kinda like that raid. Infact I wouldn't mind if they were quite a bit stronger. They're not a threat against any world that's reasonably defended.

and if they get too annoying, just kill 'em off.

I think you might be referring to the Aluxian Resurgence. The Jiskun are passive along with the Pranast and Viturak factions.

How about if these raids simply lost access to Siege Ships(Karastra and Pillager)?

Failing that, what if they appeared from the phase line?

The one change I think they should make is that the pirates need to travel to the target system from their homeworld, however, they should be able to hijack phase gates.

You guys must only be playing single player. Its a massive problem in multiplayer, so many times it just a race to who every gets to press the raid button first.

A single jiaksun raid will destroy any world, no matter how many defense their is cos they can simply go away from the platforms. Except if there is a starbase with planetary shield. But to get a shieid, you need be tier 4, 15 research stations, starbase, and shield to unlock it. Its takes massive amount of resources, and planets to build the 15 stations. A jikasun raid can be had by tier 2, 4 stations and a extra influence item.

Their is simply no defence against it.
