tho I would speculate that it might be slightly above the reduced early-access price currently on epic.
(With regional pricing hard to tell for other regions)
so about 30-35 bucks depending the currency, i'm talking your average USD/€ here
i don't see the point of pre ordering, there'll be plenty of digital copie for everyone
A quick check confirms it will be at least $50, according to Epic EA FAQ.
If the price would be exactly the same they would already post it on Steam.
No way less than $40 even on sale. I could see $50 list with 20% discount to $40 though.
I am not basing this on rebellion or any issues i have with Sins 2, it just doesn't strike me as a 50 dollar game just for sandbox play.
We want to make sure we are offering good entertainment per $ and long lasting value (i.e. offers entertainment for as long as possible).
Are there any recent RTS games with a campaign that you feel would be suitable to compare our pricing to?
Warhammer Total War 3 comes to mind, but it is a tad old, but only by 2 years and it offers Story, skirmish, and multiplayer for i think around 60 bucks.
Depends how recent you are asking.
Another one might be Company of Heroes 3, which i think released early 23.
I just feel imo the lack of story mode (unless i am of course wrong and there is one) makes it a bit of a tougher sell at least for me.
I would feel more comfortable in the mid to low 40's for a pvp/sandbox skirmish style of game.
Again this is just my opinion and i only speak for myself and a story mode would really help bolster that price point.
Everyone is free of course to disagree and that is perfectly ok, as i mentioned this is just me as a potential customer making an opinion.
In case someone was thinking it, let's just get it out of the way, i am perfectly ok with paying people for their product and by no means am i asking for ANYTHING for free nor am i trying to imply it.
Homeworld 3 is probably the most recent RTS with a campaign.
