lags... why?
I did a tutorial, everything was perfectly fine. So I've jumped into first single mission... and it was a disaster. Game was not just lagging, it was barely working. Selecting marines, moving, aiming, it all took ages. What is wrong with this game? Why out of the sudden it starts using so much CPU? I havent had situation like this for ages... and I cant even blame graphics, since game is rather plain without much extra stuff in this area. Also, cant blame AI, since I had problems during my turn. Seems like... dunno... UI is eating CPU?

Hey thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to know you had a bad experience with the game. Could you let us know your specifications, please? We'll look into it!

I tested game on cpu around minimum requirements. From my experience the way how game behaved was caused by really poor optimisation and/or game doing things in background. I could barely move mouse. Everything took ages. There is nothing in the game that could explain such a stuttering.

I deactivated the marine first person camera which was a massive improvement to performance. Optimization is necessary, no doubt.

Thanks, your specifications would still be very useful to see if this helps. As filb3301 said, disabling the unit headcam to improve FPS improves the performance a lot. You can also turn off the lighting effects, shadows, and volumetric effects and lower the quality of static directional shadows and clutter / FX detail quality if you're still experiencing lag.

As for optimization, we're assessing how we can improve it. Thanks for your feedback!

Same problem here! I can play all new games, this is first time i had problem and its big one.
But no way i would disable unit headcam! Its sexy and it was one of the reasons i bought the game. Please optimase the game. Maybe to add auto detect after optimization.

Hey, thanks for sharing your specs! I'm noting them for the team and they assess what they can do!

Additionally, would it be possible to provide a 10-20 seconds video of the situation where you experience such FPS drop (with the FPS benchmark activated on Steam so it is displayed on the screen)? This could be useful to work on this issue.

You can post the video on our Discord server[discord.gg].

Thanks a lot for your help!
