[Spoilers] Coin?

I am on my third playthrough and I'm really curious what the function or meaning of the coin (Gosforth 1813) in the secret drawer is. I would love if someone had some insight on this!

As I remember, it is a hint for a riddle card (those you obtain at the beginning of every day) somewhat later into the game.

The coin has some sort of symbol on it - a tree, I think - and the riddle card should have the same tree symbol on it with some directions. The coin indicates, you should start at Gosforth's coordinates on the map and then follow the directions, to find the plant of the day.
