(SPOILERS Day 9-10) Bryer's Disc Instruction

I opened the hidden drawer and received the instructions for the Bryer's Disc. In those instructions are clearly numbers hidden in the first letters of certain words. I assumed I had to start at Gosforth (based on coin) and then move from square to square on the map related the numbers (e.g. the first "hidden" number is a 4, so I look at the symbol in the 4th spot and move the disc to that square, until I get through the sequence.

That doesn't appear to do anything. Will the "hidden" numbers become obvious later on, or am I interpreting them incorrectly?

Every other thread on the topic of the disc is about the Kentmere eye, which I already solved.

you're overthinking it! there isn't anything that advanced sadly :D in my memory the instructions were just that.. instructions. for me, I was stuck at kentmere eye bc I forgot all about the disc..
