If you never played GoldenEye or Perfect Dark but are curious about this game give it a try it may be for you.

Agent 64 Is also supposed to have both online and local multiplayer modes.

What an odd way to gatekeep an indie game that just happens to be inspired by an older game.

Imagine telling people to not play any indie collectathon if they haven't had Mario 64 nor Banjo & Kazooie as a kid.

there was no internet
Internet still existed on console when Goldeneye came out and by the time Perfect Dark was released so was the Dreamcast with a built-in modem.

we were friends with NINTENDO 64,
bringing our gamepad to FRIENDS HOME,
TO PLAY LOCAL Multiplayer.
And there were many who played on the Playstation and/or solo games. Your point?

if you don't understand ?
try counter strike
try BODYCAM.
.......
Once again when CS 1.6 came out Perfect Dark wasn't released yet.

Also why would you bring Bodycam in the convo? It's not even the same kind of FPS.

Have you heard about Quake III Arena or Unreal Tournament '99?

Even if an indie game is a hommage to an older one that doesn't mean it's a private club for those who played it back then.
The successor to goldeneye 64 was the Timesplitter series (which destroyed halo series). Consoles tried real hard to copy PC shooters even having mouse add-ons to the mix, such a failure then, is a failure still to this day, i cannot imagine anyone enjoying playing shooters with gamepads compared to M&K, it is night and day difference. And as a bonus we get the dreadful indieslop Ugly Aesthetics from the Ugliest period in 3D gaming history. :duke:

Halo was the more popular of the two, sorry but I don't see the need to change the facts...

The PSX version of Doom was considered to be the best console port of Doom to the point even the people at id liked them.

Medal of Honor on the PSX was considered as good, same with Goldeneye which changed FPS forever before Half-Life.

Even if KB+M is more convenient it's still entirely playable with a gamepad (like Farcry, Mirror's Edge, the Crysis games and even Half-Life on the PS2). Halo was built around gamepad control too.

"Ugliest" is a subjective term. The PS360 era of the mid-00's had the bad tendency to add the yellow filter despite the higher "graphical fidelity".

Realism doesn't make something prettier either.
begin 80s my bro won ZX-SPECTRUM ina gaming contest.

but Thompson TO-7 computer (with tapes..) has the first FPS "OPERATION JUPITER" not ping pong lol :

it was special ops game against terrorist in 3 phases :

1- placing snipers 2D without being detected.
2- sniping....
3- 3D killing terrorists in batiment.

OK THX BYE lol....
I played this with my friends in high school after band practice.

There was internet then.
You gatekeepers are the most bizarre bunch on the Internet. Maybe we should gatekeep the English language as well, we'd probably see less of those moronic takes.

What does that have to do with the topic's subject? Do you have another non-sequitur to bring to the table?
