When launching the game you can choose to launch without starting EAC, it's not forced on :)

Respect that being an option at least but if I bought this I'd like the option to at least be able to play co-op online in private lobbies with my friends, if only private lobbies were EAC-free too.

The game has got a lot of work behind. The graphics are simple, yes, but you need to create the multiplayer, the maps, the enemies, the AI, etc etc etc.

I think 20€ is a good price.
