Agent 64: Spies Never Die

Agent 64: Spies Never Die

No lean/peak in aiming mode or crouching like Goldeneye
In Goldeneye you could lean/peak in aiming mode and there was a crouch button. Why doesn't this game have either feature? Seems like weird omissions.

the game definitely needs a crouch feature at least.
I'm also wondering about the lack of being able to corner peek. Instead you just move super slow when aiming, which feels weird.
I would love some crouching as well.
There used to be crouching but it got removed, I think they'll reintroduce it in the full release.

The 'leaning' using aim+C buttons was fun and useful, I think to do the same thing we just sidestep left and right, tho I realize this isn't the same.

Also I agree, sidestepping/moving while aiming is wayyy too slow. I'm glad it's not like normal movement, but it's too much imo
I'd also like to see crouching and leaning return.
They use the leaning a lot in modern tournaments.

and then turn the game into a sweat fest hell, please no. im all for leaning being a thing, but i dont think it should be at the same strength or speed of goldeneye and PD, would be way too easy to just spam and cheese your way out pf gun fights
All these people and threads asking for minor stuff, which wouldn't really make a difference and could actually detract. :zzzcat:

The game mechanics are already above and beyond what anyone could/should expect from a single Dev, it's flipping amazing. Fine tuning yes, and a lot of work getting online stable I imagine (I'll play a lot more SP before I even think about MP), but after that I'd much rather the focus was on new content and even eventual prequel/sequel ideas. Or... Agent 64: Perfect Future.

Just stop typing and start playing. xD

Detract?
I'm finding myself missing both of these features pretty regularly, especially leaning.
Yeah, this is actually super useful, trying to hit some targets with the abysmal aiming, which I wouldn't have to do if I can crouch.

Is this not the full release?

It is not.
Honestly I really hope this can be added as a post release thing.
Being able to quickly corner peek in aim mode is part of what makes it work so well, as it's a way to do precise aiming while being able to use a form of cover.
I think the game functions fine without either. The in built strafe is more than fast enough to corner peek. Crouching I get why people want but there are only two or three encounters in the game where it would make a thematic difference and would probably just break all of Nightclub's encounters given how many of them have guards shooting through fancy scenery. I would not be mad if they were added though.
