Agent 64: Spies Never Die

Agent 64: Spies Never Die

mouse "aim" feel a bit "floaty"
I don't really know how to explain the feeling, but there's a slight smoothing/floaty effect when aiming with the mouse, which feels pretty unpleasant.

It would be really nice to have normal mouse aiming, like when using the cursor, so it actually feels precise.

The only difficulty comes from the weird mouse handling.

Hope it's going to be fixed. :)

Fun demo though!

I think it's trying to recreate the controls from Goldeneye on the N64. It works fairly well on dual-analog, but I can imagine it being hard to translate on the mouse. On one hand you want it to feel good with mouse aiming as well, on the other hand you don't want it to become too easy and too dominating to the point of making a controller useless, despite the game being designed around it.

I don't think it will get "fixed", nor does it need to be.
It is a perfect recreation to how Goldeneye was. Didn't play Perfect Dark much, so I can't comment on that side of things.
Yeah, it's slippery, or "floaty". However, albeit a bit of a learning curve, it's all part of the charm.
I love it!
i agree, its idiotic to try and replicate the feel of aiming in goldeneye on a mouse. it would probably feel better on a controller or even an n64 controller but on a mouse it just feels horrible.
i seen on gameplays that mouse camera rotation is very bad like it moves on a grid especially noticable with sniper rifles
