"Please unload msio64.sys before starting the game"

I was getting a crash on launch error, "Please unload msio64.sys before starting the game". This is apparently a known problem caused by interaction between ASUS software and EAC.

After seeing in this thread and this thread that AUS Aura software was implicated, I uninstalled Aura which fixed the issue for me. Haven't tested if the issue recurs on reinstalling Aura as I'm not using it right now.

Posting here on the off chance someone else runs into this and this is useful information.
