Red gems investing - P2W?

So it seems on global PvP servers red gems investing in the cities is possible. I am afraid it means this servers will be P2W.

So I ask experienced players - is it worth to play PvP servers or rather start from peace one without possibility to buy investment for real money?

I just started on the peace server, for the exact reason you mention. But I'm not an experienced player!

Only the PvP server has that enabled (PvP server is called "Normal" if anyone is confused). I also switched to Peace server.

In Korea server, normal server(PVP) is where the majority of players are. The person who has invested the most becomes the port owner, the owner gets to adjust and tax players from trading, which adds a layer of dynamic when figuring out trade routes. Players of the same nation get taxed less compared to foreign nations. Therefore, it's always beneficial to join the big bois. Taxes won't be an issue until company level 30, since you're being protected by a newbie buff.

As to PVP battle, well... it's non-existence because you'll be up against an AI who's using a player's fleet composition. And open would AI fleet would be intercepting you once you've reached certain level anyway, regardless of pvp/pve server.

Yeah this game lost me at needing red gems to TRAIN A LOT OF SKILLS, the ones that need materials and ducats, fine, but these cheap ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥ want 10 gems for a level 10 skill, how about you suck my ♥♥♥♥ instead. I can ignore the HUNDREDS of dollars of battlepasses that give ducats, the HUNDREDS of dollars of monthly buffs, even the port investment since I haven't bothered with understanding it enough and the many many other things it can buy like all the best items and mates gacha, at least you could probably get those in game eventually, but you aren't getting 10 gems a low level skill unless you suck my ♥♥♥♥ you dirty ♥♥♥♥♥, not even a single free red gem on any of this ♥♥♥♥.
