Sorry to ask, but is this woke of some sort ?
I know I might be reported and banned for just asking, happened before, at best collect tons of clown awards, hey, that's life, but I just want to genuinely know what I am about to buy. I don't want to debate or anything like that, I'm just asking for information. I loved the first game VERY MUCH. But the year is 2023, it's developed in America, it's a Netflix production, and it's about teenage people and relationships, all of these facts and my recent experience as a consumer make me think this game has a huge probability to be woke (I know there exists as many definitions of the term as there is people using it, but I think it's still understandable enough). I'm just a consumer that have been disappointed by hundred of movies and such these past years because of said wokeness and I just want to know if I should consume this product, I'm not intending to judge people who love it. I just want to know if I'm losing my money and time on this one. It's a very personal request. I'm VERY interested in the game but I don't want to spend money and time to realize halfway this game is not for me.

I made some searches about it and I didn't found anything, and I fear spoilers so it's hard to search about a narrative-driven game without being at risks

I could also ask the question differently : could this game have been released 10 or 20 years ago without anyone noticing anything problematic or political about it ?

Thank you for any answer ! And please apologize my english.

The only thing that could remotely count is the fact that one minor character mentions having a same-sex partner, once, at the end of their optional quest line. If you weren't bothered by Mass Effect having same-sex romance back in 2007, this one minor detail won't offend your sensibilities in 2023.

you're best off giving it a try if you have netflix since you get it on there if you have it. it will be the android or ios version but you will be able to tell for yourself if you like the game.

Not finished the game yet, but i say doubt based on the first one. Unless you are triggered by the use of ghosts for non living persons.

As a ghost living in the body of a transgender lesbian, I am offended.
