Any way to defeat the curtain with only rolodexer

I'm trying to beat the game only veteran with only the rolodexer and I can't beat the curtain without running out of ammo before hand, please help!

Update: I gave up and am now doing the achievement on Friendly difficulty because the boss is literally impossible on veteran rolodex only, even if you save all the ammo you get (something that's literally impossible because you'd die first)

So im trying to just complete the Unfriendly difficulty without using cheats. I have and idea: you can get the diamond key in the offices and then leave by returning to the sewers and using the pirates stage secret shortcut, avoiding the boss fight. Is this possible? Because right now im fighting it and even with all the ammo the game provided till this point is pretty much impossible (and yes, im using the wrench to defeat the lower eyes).

The wrench can beat the upper eyes aswell, theres a hitbox on the curtain you can keep hitting untill its killed, i used up all the ammo in stage 4 so did the rest with only the wrench, its possible

Thats nice to know, i'll try later. Still, does anyone know if the strat i mentioned earlier its possible? I think grabbing the main entrance key is what triggers the boss fight, so as long as you dont, you should be able to exit the way i said right?

I don't think it does. When I tried going back down the tunnel had caved in, preventing me from returning until after the boss fight
