I've played through the game a fair few times at this point and I'm not sure what you mean by the garage in the evening as it's shut and you can't open it without access to the diamond key through the room you get the circle key which you don't get until you get to the hotel.

Look around a bit more! You might find a way to open that door earlier. :)

Don't want to make it too easy....but when you just leave your truck, look throughly at everything in the area.

Im sorry but I gotta give this to him. I couldnt find it either. When you walk in the garage, go to the left and look on the side of the lower closets. There should be a button. Im sorry :(
