Does it get harder?
Played a bit up to the first big town and also purchased the manor.
Does the game get any harder?
Or is there a setting I missed?
I 2-3 hit most enemies I come across with the Fine Blade.

This games more about vibes, exploration and lore than the combat.

there's no vibes, there's nothing to "explore" because there's nothing to find but trash resources to upgrade items you don't need to upgrade to kill things you don't need to kill and can kill with no investment into anything, there's no "lore"

imo it just gets easier and easier but thats my experience with all these kind of RPG games that aren't "soulslike". would be nice if difficulty was more balanced but i still love the game..

Back in EA it was never a difficult game. You can do fine with no combat stats and a rusty sword, lol. People looking for a challenge will be disappointed.

However if you're looking for something more focused on narrative, exploration, lore, branching decisions, and light RPG elements then you're much more likely to click with Dread Delusion.

I knew what DD was going into it and I enjoy it, but I can see how people going in expecting something like Morrowind (It's nothing like it aside from retro graphics and giant mushrooms) would be upset.

that's as big of a lie as comparing it to Morrowind, buzzwords buzzwords buzzwords

the thing plays like a dev debugging level to test out player actor movement speed, there's no narrative, exploration or lore

I get you're clearly upset about something, but trying to claim the game doesn't have a world to explore, extra historical information to find and read, or even no story at all is very obviously objectively incorrect.

They're not buzzwords, they're basic and accurate descriptors of what the game contains. Whether you personally like or it not is irrelevant to the fact that it's there.

Gameplay is sadly very easy, and it's takes any challenge from the game. I don't understand why there's no difficulty selection. Just a simple "x% damage take/done" would be enough.

I do enjoy exploring the world but one can do only so much walking and 2 hitting enemies without getting at least slightly bored

I'm still at the 3-hit'ing 'em stage :D

True, really hope they'll add a difficulty slider at some point.

I just upgraded the sword and got the first attack spell. The combat became an absolute joke. But I still like the game, it doesn't have to be difficult to be enjoyable. And don't feed the troll. Seems like they just want to farm jester awards, doesn't even have the game in their library. No game forum is safe from them.

I was finding the same thing, but I've ventured into the Realm of the Endless and it seems a bit tougher - definitely more hostile than Hallowshire. Could still benefit from a difficulty slider, though.
