Dark Star reputation?

One of the factions you can gain rep for are the dark star mercenaries, but it seems like there is no way to actually do that? you can only lose rep by fighting them, but there seems to be no way to increase it. Killing apostates doesn't increase it, they have no one to give godlets to
is there a way I've overlooked? If there isn't, whats the point of it being there?

I didn't see any point to it. My impression is that at some point the devs had a plan to do more with the faction system and it just didn't work out for whatever reason.

I mean I just assumed having it would make it easier to talk down Vela at the end, but you don't seem to need it to do that. so it just seems to be there for no reason.

I know there use to be one for Goblins too, but they removed it because there was no real use for it, so why remove that one but not this?

This game really feels like they had a lot more planned for it that they just cut short. don't get me wrong, I still loved it, but it would be cool if they'd expanded on all these plans they laid down.

most likely abandoned, the game still feels very unfinished and I've been following it and playing since early builds. A lot of stuff I was hoping was just early access issues, ended up as the final product in the final 1.0 release
