Lost progress when playing between Steam Deck/PC
Hi devs,

Let me preface this with I absolutely love this game. However, over Christmas I ran into a disheartening bug. I fired up my game on Steam Deck and didn't realize where I was but quickly learned I was in the wrong spot. I loaded up my PC save and found that I was right where I was supposed to be, saved, and loaded up my Steam Deck again, only to find that the save didn't carry over and then reset my desktop save.

This lost me roughly six hours of gameplay, all airship related. I lost all my final upgraded weapons, and it just bums me out.

Please figure out a way for saves to be more specific. A general save doesn't cut it in instances like this. I would also really like to see an FPS update to smooth things out. That is the only things holding this game back, otherwise there is so much that I love in it.

Merry Christmas.

Same situation just happened to me. In my case I opened the game Steam deck and realized I was in wrong location. I immediately closed everything and went to my PC . when I opened the game it automatically synced my steam deck save and I lost ~10 hours of progress (mostly in CK and Underlands ) :( I guess i will be taking couple of days from the game - I just can't force myself redo everything again.

I was able to quickly speedrun the area I lost progress in and wound up beating the game. It was pretty interesting to take a second lap around the map for final treasures but I thought the game was going to end a few times and ended up with several more hours of play.
I encountered a similar issue today when I launched the game on my PC only to find that I had lost hours of progress. Apparently all of it made on my Steam Deck?

This is the kind of situation where I would hope Steam would flag it as a conflict and ask you which save you want to keep; though I'm not sure if game devs need to do anything to make that work.

In any case, I will probably stick to one platform when playing this game going forward. A shame, as I've never had to do this for any other game.
