Sand island softlock

Okay, so.

I got the flying ship, got it onto the sand island where you're supposed to get the thingy to reinforce she ship. Parked it there, went down the chain, talked to the dude who told me to look for the failsafe switches, and as this task was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoyance (and padding, in a game in which its not needed), I quit the game.

Came back today, armed with patience. Ship's gone. I'm stuck here. Having a blast !

There is "emergency airship reembarkation" spell in the island. I think it was in the house right from the landing place.

You should have a spell (Emergency Airship Reembarkation) you can equip that will return you to your ship, it looks like the teleport home spell with the swirly arrow, but there's a little sailship instead of a house on it.
Your ship is probably moored at the last place you docked and you will have to fly it back to the island if you haven't finished up there yet.
