There are so many lockpicks that I can't pick any more. Every damn thing I break gives me lockpicks so far. Enemies you kill give you lockpicks.
Worst loot ever.
I'm guessing you didn't take the lockpicking skill? I haven't either, I've only just started the game as well so are the lockpicks required to progress the game at some point? Should I be investing some points in them?
I took charm as well, but more I play, more pointless it seems to talk to people. They say nothing interesting and ramble on about nonsense that's best left ignored. Now I'm two hours in and can't be arsed to restart, but if anyone else is starting out, pick the damn lockpicking.
Agilty and lockpicking will allow you to breeze through this game easily. Spells are useful, but you can beat the crap out of every enemy with first sword and no combat points put into strength for hours. Meanwhile, locks and traps are everywhere.
I've been putting points in lockpicking and agility only for last few levels.
