Xbox controller not working right?

Hey, guys

I just got Munch's Oddysee, loved it and played the ♥♥♥♥ out of it when I was a little boy, and I was looking to experience it once again, only I don't have an OG Xbox HUEG anymore so I had to settle for the PC port. Anyway, my left thumbstick seems to be a bit wacky. When I try to move diagonally on land, my characters slow down almost to a walk. This has gotten me killed a bunch. What's worse is when Munch is in the water, he won't move at all diagonally! All he does is look in the direction I'm pointing. I tried to do the water parts with KB+M, but he won't move sideways when I do that. Again, he just looks in the direction. Even further, when I pause the game or use the main menu I can't use my gamepad to navigate. I have a wireless Xbox 360 controller, if that helps any.

in the menu's use the right stck not the left. for some reason it's the right stick that controls the menu's

I know this is a necroing a dead thread but any fix for the Water movement? i keep dieing cause much keeps slowing down in the water randomly.

When you swim, you have to hold down the sprint button to move, I have that problem of not swimming, so I figured out you gotta hold sprint, if that helps any

I had the same issue with the diagonal movement turning into a crawl. I still managed to beat the game without too much trouble from it but I'll admit I've probably ran munch into a mine or two due to it or had abe slam on the brakes during the scrab run levels.

Just found a fix on a steam forum

to sum it up, go into Options > Controls > Keyboard-Personalize
then change default from walk to run

another additional thing you can do is change camera controls,
go into Options > Controls > Keyboard-Personalize and change move camera up/down/left/right to up/down/left/right arrow keys, this should make the right thumb stick move the camera

Thanks the right thumb stick now moves my camera and its really comfortable to play,But I cant run the game from steam, I have to go into the folder and lauch the Munch exe for it to work

Just make a shortcut of the exe and put it wherever you want
