A guy trying to use this game to scam me on Discord

I'm just edging him, playing dumb etc.

What do scammers get out of playing these games with others?

Are there micro-transactions?

there's philyy.45 and another one is ray_1_11.
Both added me "by accident" from Throne and Liberty discord server.
Both asked me to play IK.
Both discord accounts are created on february 2022.

I assume these people are the promotion team.
Of course i never bother to install the game.

same thing happened to me. they pretended to add me by accident, then kept dming as if we were friends, asking me to play IK with them. it all was very strange so I looked the game up and no wonder, username was sharon_xl

they game devs of this game try to get new peopl ein using other game forums on discord, they will offer you to join their server and world, they will then tell you to add funds and buy packs to boost you, thats their aim they want you to spend money in the game so they make money. after that they will keep wanting you to spend money and will edit the game in any way they can to make you spend more and then when you leave they will remove your account from you and sell it on ebay

I had the same happen to me yesterday from someone named Sheila saying the same things. Said they were from China and that I should be friends with them.

"Oops thought you were my friend" "you should play this too" "you will love the game" even after I said mobile management sims aren't my type of games

I actually got that too from the skyrim discord. I just told her "im not available right now, maybe on the weekend". and that bought me enough time to figure out it was a scammer

Just had one try to do the same on Discord, username was Karen something with an obvious AI girl avatar. They said they "added me by accident" and tried to act normal. I played along and they started asking all sorts of personal questions to seem friendly. After a bit they ushered me into this "alliance" thing in-game. After some research I found out they give you a link to which if you download it they can charge you 1000s on Google & Apple and get access to all sorts of passwords stored on your device. Be careful people!

is the person you are talking about dark1.1 on discord, they randomly added me too and have told me to install the game

Same situation happened to me. I was in a Pokemon Scarlet & Violet server. Username was .Cloud. and they texted me out of nowhere by "accident" and recommended IK to me. Thought it was harmless till joining the alliance. Demands to be logged in so often, and the strange behavior of the users there told me something wasn't right. Glad I got away unscathed.

a new bot DM me. This time he added me "accidently" from Blade & Soul discord. I just replied with screenshots from the other 2 bots. He immediately poofed.

someome messaged me on legend of mushroom to message in discord (name is rose_rose33/tulip), she also "recruited" me for that game, she only made me join her alliance, nothing else. another player tried with light of chaos to invite me to her clan but i wont play that one. funnily, the same company of light of chaos made the infinity kingdom knock-off. this all is so weird to me, maybe a mix up of those games? or the same company is behind both the original and knock off?

idk what the deal is, other ppl in legend of mushroom also said they got messaged and in infinity kingdom i got asked how i know about the game, he then told me he came also from LoM

though i must say the game itself is fun, its sad that so few people play it
