Pressure Plate Puzzle
The pressure plate puzzle confuses me, and I'm concerned that the poem book contains the same sort of fuzzy wording from which some of the other tasks suffer.

The book lists 5 numbers. 10, 11, 15, 1, 5. Zero is always correct for the first button press, which suggests to me that zero means 10, but zero for the second press is also sometimes, but not always, correct. The furthest I've managed to get has been with 00304, which made me think that the puzzle isn't additive in nature, but I've verified that it's not about creating a column of the correct number in sequence either, because that's literally impossible, and there are 8 columns, not 5.

The poem is 8 lines. The syllables come to 8 7 9 5 8 6 8 6, words to 6 6 6 4 6 5 8 5. Making the columns add up to the syllables, with the numbers listed being a red herring, also made some sense, but that's definitely not it either. The sum of the buttons pressed adding up to, or not exceeding, the next number in the sequence seems plausible, but results in a failed instance every time. For instance, if 0 does mean 10, and the next number in sequence should be 11, then I should be able to go from 0 to 9 so long as there's a 2 in stepping range from 9, but that doesn't work either.

The "each wave deadlier than the next" line might be construed as an imperative to do your math with always decreasing numbers, starting with 0 as 10, but that also doesn't work, nor does the inverse, always increasing your numbers from 0 as 0.

So what's going on here? Is the puzzle breathtakingly stupid, or am I? Who needs to be hit in the head with a rock, me or the guy who wrote this thing?

Full poem for reference:
Pressure by Felix Z
Each wave deadlier than the next
The soldiers beat at the gates
My ten archers covering me
The arrows fly straight
What was eleven reduced to 1
What was 15 is 5
From left to right to reach the end
Until I reach my prize

i spent like a hour trying to figure this out also didn't get anywhere, i even got one of my friend to help me but he didn't figure it out either.

you can just save scum the puzzle by saving and trying every possible movement reverting if you get it wrong and saving on the next right number to guess it again. so until somebody figure it out that's the only way to solve it.

I hate that this seems to be the only way forward. I also spent maybe an hour on it with the help of another puzzle savvy friend, and the ultimate solution (achieved by save scumming, as you said), 06916939, didn't conform to any sort of puzzle form we could come up with that one could derive from the clue.

Strange.

Are you talking about the one next to medbay where its the total sum of every plate you don't press starting from 0?

Here's the answer for you

If we have this, please add each column (1+2+8) - 10 = 1. So, the next step is 1. By doing this, add each column from left to right, subtract 10, and move accordingly.
so, your path 013

This is a gam breaker for me as not native ENG. Non of the solutions work or make sense.
Stuck.

This is not 100% correct but can work. it is % (modular) instead of - (subtract)

You can brute force it with quicksave before you go to the next plate. Reload if wrong.

Cleared it, but the room beyond... has nothing in it? what. Even used Discover on every square, nothing.

Take the total of your current column, then modulus 10 it to get the results of the next step. 1st column is always 0 because there is no existing column.

Column 1: 0, 6, 9 = 15 = 5
Column 2: 7, 5, 8 = 20 = 0
Column 3: 8, 4, 0 = 12 = 2
Column 4: 5, 2, 9 = 16 = 6
Passcode for first 5 columns = 0, 5, 0, 2, 6

I solved it... but, honestly, this puzzle is ridiculous. Not a fan of it.

pretty sure this is not the only way forward. I got to the next floor not doing it. I also gave up on it.

It doesn't lead forward at all, it's just a bonus treasure room.

10で引き算することはジャーナルから理解できたが、それ以外の法則は分からなかった。

yeah, beyond that puzzle is just a single small room with one item which isnt even needed to advance so it can be skipped if need be
