The ones' digit of the sum of the current column is the next button.
9 | 6 | 9 |
0 | 0 | 1 |
7 | 5 | 6 |
then you'd step on 0 first, then add up the row which is 9 + 0 + 7 = 16 (16 - 10 like in the poem = 6) which means you hop on 6 next. Then 6 + 0 + 5 = 11 so you hop on 1 next. Then 9 + 1 + 8 = 18 then (18 - 10 = 8) so you'd hop on 8 next. Etc.
It's a simple logic puzzle that wasn't well explained by the poem.
Thanks for both approaches folks!!! Save scumming it is for me <.<
In addition if the 3 numbers don’t equate to 10 or higher then then number you do get is the next number
