How bad is the grind for money ?

To me it immediately felt like a complete useless boring chore to find a way to get some cash to craft and research.
Started playing and gave myself an unlimited amount of cash. But is the grind for money is as bad as few posts claim it to be ? Want to know before I continue further. Might restart my playthrough.

There is nothing complicated in getting money, at the very beginning it is processing methane ore, later it is already mining geodes, well, actually from quests
