Yeah def that. I thought they were too precious to sell, I swim in them now and I make more money in a single purple run than anything else.
Still massively idiotic that the people at base expect me to finance everything.
OMG so much this! Everyone at camp seems to give me sass, guards are mostly hostile with one with a quest "so I might beat her"? Can't you send any of those posers behind the barricades?
Improvements I'd see :
- Remove credits entirely
- Add a function for the medbay, restaurant and habs. "Refresh". Like Medbay puts you to full condition, restaurant feeds and waters you, habs for sleep.
- Have the guards do anything at all
- Keep the crafting and research as it is, without credits. Whoever's free should be working on projects, it should be a time and parts management.
And by off I think I know what it is. The entire crew is pretty comically diverse, to the point everyone have to be special, nobody seems to be from the same nationality and they still have language quirks even after working remotely together for years. They absolutely never feel like a team of scientists and technicians, they look like patrons at a Los Angeles café
I fully agree. The money management system of the game is incredibly broken and not fun at all. I got to the pool level and am constantly broke. Now my armour got destroyed and I have no money to create a new one even if I have the materials. What am I supposed to do now? Run naked to the starter cave to grind credits?
Funniest thing is that there is an option to disable the money use for crafting / breaking down goods, BUT YOU CANNOT TURN THAT ON ONCE YOU HAVE STARTED A GAME! Incredibly stupid design! Does the author really expect me to abandon 30+ hours with the game and start from the scratch? Hello? 1990s are way back.
This is the level I nearly gave up for exactly that. You get geodes later to sell but where you are, GOOD LUCK
Also God would I have turned that option on if I had known!
When I started initially I was expecting to see like maybe 10 people alive in the camp, 1 or 2 in each essential area basically. Not 40+ workers, assistants, and a literal functioning armed Security Force.
Okay, they made up the nanobot virus thing as a reason people can't go into the mines or deeper in the facility gotcha, but at a minimum the Security Forces should absolutely be sending every able bodied soldier to help defend it. Anyone with a spare moment should be gathering wood and making spikes and barricades.
We should have the ability to station guards there. They basically made us overseer over a vault but we can't make any actual decisions that affect the camp outside of which elevators to power.
Hell yeah, assigning people to just gathering rocks and fibers from the surroundings...
