For $15? Total scam. I got this on sale for $10, and even for $1 this game is NOT worth it. Like every game DNA Army has put out, it's abandonware. I wouldn't trust the developers AT ALL. Their best game, Trader Life Simulator, was abandoned very quickly after launched, with only a few updates that barely added anything.

As you can see, there's only one game that has a net positive. As stated before, it was abandoned QUICKLY. But don't take my word for it. I went through every game that DNA Army has put out, and the following list is the last update/hotfix last applied to the game. I specify if it's a hotfix or update, and if it's a hotfix I will also specify if there's another actual update or if there was never a true update to the game.

As you can see, these games DO NOT last very long in the grand scheme of things. The games that only came out a month ago is definitely somewhat excusable, but their track record really tells you how it'll likely go.

And the best part is? Trader Life Simulator, their most highly rated game, was abandoned, and is getting a 'sequel.' I firmly believe it's because of this reception is why this is happening. They found a 'good game' (which it isn't, it needed far more updates) and are now going to capitalize on it by making a second, nicer looking game. STAY AWAY from these devs at all cost and DO NOT give them your money. If you really think a game of theirs could be good, DO THE FOLLOWING:

1) Look at the date of release (I would wait a minimum of six months given the abandon time previously listed)
2) View the update news and see how often it's updated
3) Look at the reviews, and see how many of them seem legitimate and thought out enough to be reviews.

I hope this review is the cautionary tale I wanted it to be. I got Trader Life Simulator the day it went out because it looked great. It was fun enough to play (back when you thought it was going to keep updating) but here we are.

An other simplistic title from this development team, And I keep wondering if this is what people can expect in the future? I'm missing innovation, not just assets reused over and over again. @ The developers, Take risks, make it your own and build around it. Don't let it just be you standing there pushing buttons.

There's no better feeling than baking the perfect, delectable treat. It's a shame that you're just running the cash register.

Bakery Shop Simulator puts you in the shoes of a manager and cashier, letting you decide how to run your bakery while your kitchen underling does the hard work of baking. Combine that with a full complement of equipment to buy and more than two dozen breads and treats to bake, and you should have the ingredients for a good game. Unfortunately, this game feels like actually putting in a day's shift at work, minus the physical exhaustion. You'll order equipment and ingredients, tell your chef what to cook, and then pack up orders by the customers that come rolling in. Rinse and repeat. Earning money doesn't really matter. Losing money only matters if you run out. (Buy the coffee machine ASAP and this will never happen.) Your bakery's reputation doesn't matter. It's just the monotony of place orders, take orders, wrap up to-go orders, and check the customers out.

Simulation games always have their audience, so I'll give a few pieces of advice for those who neglect my warning. Buy the coffee machine ASAP to always earn income. Buy new equipment at the end of the day (so that you're not immediately getting orders you can't fill), and bake as many orders as you want since the timer just stops at midnight. Buy the shelves to hold your extra goods.

If there was a game here with clear goals, a clear sense of progress besides just "buy all the equipment," then Bakery Shop Simulator might be worth recommending. But as it is, this isn't a game: it's busywork. It's the same meaningless cycle over and over again where the only sense of progress is unlocking new equipment to bake new goods.

NO NO NO.....Why? It seems like some effort went into the game to get it working and then lots of shortcuts were taken to put it up for sale. Spoiler alert. While your store is closed (with no time limit) bake and package as much as you can until you have $20 left. Then restart the day (costs $20). Hold the scanner in your hand and as patrons come in just click the already packaged products. Rinse and repeat for about 4 days in game and you will have plenty of money for all the equipment and ingredients and access to all the recipes available. There is very little content. So little that even the patrons are the same 4 dudes every day. The coffee maker does everything on its own, yes it even makes and sells its own coffee, no ingredients needed. One pro tip. No bugs, but with little content and little to do other than basically run a cash register theres not much that can go wrong. The only reason I logged 10hrs was the last 4 were spent hoping to unlock more content that just isnt there. Even at $5 its not worth it.

Meh. It was worth $1.50, but not (at least in its current state, but it doesn't say it's in EA) the usual $15 price tag. It lacks any real objectives, challenges, or sense of...life. And for some bizarre reason, the only people in this game are a bunch of thuglike men who stomp around all manly-like (but many dressed like hipsters). There are NO women at all, which is just ... really unsettling. And the baker behind his counter doesn't move, he appears at the oven or in his seat awaiting orders, but doesn't move a muscle. Also unsettling. There's no dialogue, no story, no special challenges. You're just ordering baked goods to be made and selling them at the other counter, all day long. As I said, meh.

Quite enjoy Bakery Shop Simulator but hope that it expands a bit more as very basic. Pity you haven't got the ability to price goods, better shelving and have signs showing which each item is (I tend to forget and get mixed up). It does need more interest added to game as all you are doing is ordering ingredients and equipment, ordering the bakery item so the baker can make it then wrap it if needed and sell it using a scanner. Good but could be much much better.

The atmosphere is very very far from what you might expect from a little cute and cozy bakery. It feels like the game was an abandoned student's job.

The way it's presented to doesn't represent what you get. But since you can ask for a refunt, i'll still vote for it.

If this was made by a tiny and inexperienced indie studio, then it's a decent game. Not great but perfectly decent alright. Otherwise, I'll be blundt: that compared to most other games of the genre, this one is painfully disappointing.

Every is told. Below is only a longer rant.

Missing

- Baking. The game should be nammed Blunt Bakery Vendor Simulator.
- We are stuck in a small square like area in the shop, can't interact directly with customers or the baker in any way. They are like, moving decorative plants.
- In fact, talking about decoration, there is only one character model (male tall bulky black chad with different fun hipser looks). And zero customisation (prices, furniture, hours, number of customers per day).
- The cook isn't animated at all: it is telelported somewhere away, standing, and then back close to the counter, but doesn't do anything. He is facing away from the player (maybe so that we never see that he look exactly like very other customer). This is especially frustrating because we already have to make up with the fact that we can't bake.
- Did I say that we can't bake? We can't.
- The customers don't care whether we can or can't sell them a good (lacking the money to buy equipment or ressources, or trying to strategize to save money): if we don't have exactly what they order, they cancel the whole command after occupying the place.
- There aren't many customer per day, and we lose lots of time for nothing since we can't tell them no.
- There is no packging animation.
- The boxes of the baked goods look like factory boxes, no cute at all; the shop's sign isn't even on them.
- The in-game TV lag, youtube is very tricky to start, and we can't watch local videos stored on your computer.

Nice points

- The only feeling of progression, is to discover the design of each of the baked goods.
- The only satisfying action is getting to scan the boxes for the custommers. ...At first; during the first five minutes.
- A cool, but also vital feature given how boring things are in the game, is that we can watch videos on the in-game TV to pass time between customers.

It's probably worth 6 bucks maximum. Just to salute the effort.
Regarding the fun factor, I'd say 2.99 bucks. No more than 3. Not even 3.99.

I enjoyed the Bakery Shop Simulator. It was a great time killer that wasn't too easy but also not too hard. If you enjoy time management small shop type games, this is your cup of tea. This is a shop simulator, not a bakery simulator, so if you're expecting to create the actual recipes, that's not going to happen. The tutorial wasn't very in depth but the concept of the game was pretty straight forward enough that it wasn't needed. Buy ingredients and upgrade equipment in order to unlock recipes, increase your rating and profit, The only problem is that once you have all the equipment and ingredients, you're pretty well done. You only have to pay the bakers salary of $20 a day and basically upkeep your stock. There's no shop rent or goal beyond that. Customers stop arriving after 21:00 and the time freezes at the end of the night so you can stock up as much as you can afford after closing time to prep for the next day. Rinse, Repeat. I would have loved to see more challenge or depth added to managing, packaging or checking items out, but as it is I still had fun playing.

Boring game. Get the chef to bake, sell goods, repeat. Returning...
